I got the chance to listen to the debate/conversation between Doug Pagitt and Bob Dewaay. I am always impressed with people who think quickly on their feet!Both these presenters also do a good job of seriously engaging the other's viewpoints. I think this discussion highlights many of the central issues in the whole emerging church conversation as well as many of the fears/concerns that those who consider themselves outside of the conversation have. Doug does a pretty amazing job in attempting to give a glimpse of the emerging church in 45 minutes. (andrew lists doug's 11 theses). Bob is concerned about boundaries, truth, salvation, eschatology and language. He also loves to talk about the intent of the original author as in, the text means what the original author meant when he wrote it.
